Empowering communities through geospatial intelligence, environmental stewardship, and cutting-edge GIS technology at the LSU Center for GeoInformatics (C4G).
GeoStewardShip is an initiative of the LSU Center for GeoInformatics (C4G) dedicated to training the next generation of geospatial leaders. We combine advanced GIS technology, environmental science, and community engagement to address Louisiana's unique coastal, environmental, and infrastructural challenges.
From real-time positioning networks to StoryMaps that tell the story of our changing coastline, we empower students, educators, and communities to become active stewards of our state's geographic heritage.
After-school GIS training program in partnership with Louisiana Sea Grant's EnvironMentors. Students learn ArcGIS, create StoryMaps, and conduct real environmental research.
Learn More βHands-on experience with GNSS, remote sensing, and geospatial data infrastructure. Work directly with C4G's statewide RTN and research projects.
Apply Now βCollaborative projects using geospatial tools to support coastal communities, flood mapping, habitat restoration, and climate adaptation strategies.
